Melbourne Sake Festival - The Trade Event
Share
Last week, I headed to the Melbourne Sake Festival Trade Event. For those who don’t know, the Sake Festival has a Trade Event session designed for people in the hospitality industry to connect and talk business. The general public is not there, so the atmosphere is very different to what you’d expect from a cultural festival.
Everything about the session was awesome, but what really stood out was the atmosphere. There were no queues or loud crowds. Just quality conversations with importers, brewers, distributors and sake experts.
Don’t get me wrong. I love the hustle and bustle of the public Sake Festival sessions. It’s the best way to experience the culture, energy and fun we’d expect from the festival.
However, if you’re in the industry with business in mind, make sure you also register for the trade event session. It’s the best space for serious discussions, new connections, and discovering what’s coming next in the world of sake, without elbowing your way to a tasting.
The next Sake Festival and trade session will be in Sydney later this year. Come for the public session to experience the festivities, and register for the Trade Event too. Sake Nami will be exhibiting at the Sydney event, so see you there!
