DESCRIPTION:
Officially gold-winning sake. Sakurafubuki (桜吹雪) was awarded a Gold Award (金賞), the top honour, at the Reiwa 7 National New Sake Appraisal Competition (全国新酒鑑評会), announced May 2026. Run by Japan's National Research Institute of Brewing, it is the country's oldest and most prestigious national sake judging, with just 217 Gold Awards among 793 entries nationwide. This is the sake behind brewer Kanemitsu Shuzo's celebrated Kamokinshu reputation. View the official results.
Brewed in Hiroshima with the region's signature Senbon Nishiki rice polished to a fine 40%, it's elegant and aromatic, with a beautiful, gentle acidity and a clean, lingering finish. Serve it well chilled in a wine glass to let the fragrance open up.
A genuine special-occasion bottle - award-winning sake history to share.
