Toyonoume’s “Itookashi” Wins Gold at Kura Master 2025!

It is an easy-drinking Junmai Ginjo sake with a sweet, pleasant and fruity apple like aroma, which spreads through your palate.

In 2007, the brewery ordered yeast AC95 but yeast CEL24 was delivered instead. They unknowingly started making the sake and continued through after realising the mistake because the Sake was great! It's also why the sake was named ‘itookashi’, an expression which means ‘very interesting’.
